My wife and I would regularly get asked for autographs when we were out together. It’s funny how our public image was so unshakeable, and yet our marriage was unraveling. We knew that a public divorce could cause serious damage to our careers and businesses, so we opted to use the collaborative law process instead. Throughout the process, we maintained our focus on our two children. Collaborative law gave us the commutation tools we needed to uphold a co-parenting relationship. We knew we had done irreparable damage to our marriage, but we were able to still be a good example to our children by settling things peacefully.
