Fees and Initial Process for DCS Cases
Legal Support for DCS Cases: Costs and Process Explained
Practice Areas
Hello, thank you for contacting Moshier Law. First, we empathize that you are entangled with DCS. They have a lot of power. DCS cases are usually challenging in one of multiple ways. The firm’s advanced fees for any DCS case will require a minimum of $5,000.00-10,000.00 to begin work. We do have a payment plan, but the law firm does not administer this plan, and it is similar to a credit card application.
There is no guarantee as to how much the work will cost, and there is no guarantee of any outcome.
If someone is asking us to help them file an appeal to a substantiated finding to avoid being placed on the registry, then we don’t go to court. In those situations, the fees start at $3,000.00. Usually, when DCS has taken someone’s children, these issues will not crossover.
If you become our client, some of the advanced fee could possibly be paid toward experts who can provide supporting testimony to further your case.
The more time that has passed, the more hearings that have occurred and the more events that have happened in a case when we enter a case, the more costly representation can become. We could identify several mistakes or missteps that we have to correct.
We have already talked and scheduled the free consultation, which will last about 15-20 minutes.
Please provide the information requested prior to the consultation. The more information you
have at the ready, the more expedited this process can be.
